Funkopolis
I had a whole heap of fun building Funkopolis, an imaginary city in the sky that is part Alfred Hitchcock, part Metropolis (arguably the first sci-fi film ever), and very much part early London Elektricity.
Funkopolis takes you back to Pull The Plug and Song In The Key Of Knife, with Orchestra Galactica taking centre stage laying down the funkiest horns you can imagine. I ran two independent drum kits for this, both edited constantly.
We featured version one of this tune on Sick Music 2019, and I reworked it for this album to be a city orbiting the other worlds as they take shape.
